PCS has been an established long term care provider since 2004. As an IRIS Consultant Agency assisting people and families who choose to manage their services through the IRIS program, we bring these qualities to our work: dedication to participant choice, deep knowledge of the programs and systems consumers must navigate, and commitment to meeting the high expectations of those we serve.
Our IRIS Consultants have more than 300 years of combined Self-Directed Services experience to help people make a plan and work within their service budgets to meet their needs and personal preferences.
Our Mission
Progressive Community Services, Inc. (PCS) support elders and adults with disabilities in Dane County Wisconsin, helping them lead self-directed lives by connecting them with resources that create an inclusive and integrated community.
We believe elders and people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to direct their own supports when possible while maintaining or improving their quality of life in their home and in their community.
In addition to working directly with elders and adults with disabilities, we work closely with guardians and their support staff to ensure that the person’s home and community life are led as inclusively as possible.

Our History – A Dane County Homegrown ICA
Incorporated as a 501(c) 3 in 2004, we were directly involved in the forming and implementing Self-Direction Services in Dane County. We worked cooperatively with the entire provider network of residential and vocational providers as well as state and local advocacy groups to make sure people with disabilities and their families got the support and services they deserve.
In 2017, we became an IRIS Consultant Agency (ICA) assisting people and families who choose to manage their long term care services through the IRIS program. We emphasize dedication to choice using our deep knowledge of the programs and systems people must navigate.
