More about me
I grew up as an Army Brat and moved around all over the country. Because of this, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance at Ohio University. I worked at a summer camp for children with disabilities, and realized what I wanted to do with my life! After college, I moved to the Washington D.C. metro area, where I was trained as an ABA therapist and taught students on the Autism Spectrum. My favorite part of teaching was learning the different ways my students wanted to communicate and helping them develop those skills.
I moved to Wisconsin in 2012 and served as an AmeriCorps volunteer for a year, coordinating a tutoring program at East High School. While earning my graduate degree, I worked at Cornucopia, an arts and wellness center for adults with mental health issues, in Madison. I then worked at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in Dodgeville, and enjoyed working with people with a variety of disabilities. I’ve loved working for Progressive Community Services as a Transition Coordinator for the past two years, helping families navigate the transition from school supports for people with developmental disabilities to adult services. I moved to Mt. Horeb in 2017, where I’ve fallen in love with the rolling hills and small town charm. In my free time, I like to hang out with my two-year-old daughter and my husband. I like taking bike rides, reading, and exploring new parts of Wisconsin.
