Specialties

I have worked with adults in a residential setting with a wide variety of Developmental Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health issues, and other medical conditions for the last 8 years. I was a Program Manager and supervised the direct care staff who provided day-to-day care for individuals with Developmental Disabilities or TBI. I occasionally provided direct care, but my main role was to oversee all areas of care and support for the homes and people on my caseload. From this experience I gained much knowledge and resources in providing services to people with disabilities in Dane County. I really enjoyed taking on new clients and challenges, getting to know them, and building individualized plans to best support complex needs. Two of the most impactful situations I was involved in creating plans and building supports around were a young adult who acquired a TBI and required intense medical and behavioral support and another young adult who had severe childhood trauma creating many behavioral and mental health challenges, along with a Developmental Disability. Prior to that I worked with at-risk youth in a residential group setting. I learned many skills and practices from both of these past experiences that I still utilize today, such as crisis management, critical problem solving, and team collaboration. I pride myself on the relationships and trust I build with each and every team and individual I have and will work with. I have found this is what builds long-term stability, independence, and success, which is what I strive for and enjoy most about supporting individuals and teams.

More about me

I spend majority of my free time with my 3 year old daughter and husband at home. I love to cook, entertain, watch and attend sporting events (Packers and Badgers mostly), and spend as much time outdoors in the summer time. I also prioritize my health and wellbeing, so make sure to take time to exercise, treat myself at the spa (once in awhile), and take walks with my family. I have a close knit group of friends and family, so spending time with them is the most important thing to me, and having fun!
